StormSector is a unique business venue. We also provide elite consulting services in addition to our world known site, articles, news, blog, guides, product reviews, and weather data. Founded in 2001 by Ben Alonzo, the operation has grown significantly, often picked up by news media, propagated to nearly every country around the world. At times we have opportunities (mostly on part-time basis) for application developers, subject matter experts, student reporters (journalism students), and science students. Current Positions:

College Student Reporter: Assists editors in news gathering, writing articles, interviewing sources, preparing news items, checking sources, may create graphics, text documents, use word processing software, HTML knowledge a plus, computer technology knowledge a plus, programming abilities a plus, certifications a plus, GPA required to be at or above 2.75 overall, must be in good standing with your college, for college credit arrangement must be made with your institution, requires Resume and Cover Letter, two letters of recommendation. Student must have working phone, computer, and internet connection for this position. Must be enrolled at a degree granting college at time of application no less than half time (6 credit hours during the Fall or Spring, at least 3 credit hours during the Summer. Summer requirement can be waved provided the student attends the following Fall semester meeting the requirements.).

Question: What type of people are you looking for? Answer: We look for unique individuals with talents in areas including: C++, PHP, XML, HTML/CSS, Java, Flash, Visual Basic programming, consumer technology, writing experience, college students, video production specialists, emergency medical science, earth science, graduate students, and information technology experts. We consider college students provided they have completed their freshman year, maintain an acceptable grade point average, and complete our application process.

There are opportunities for college credit to be arranged with your educational institution (which must be accredited). A Resume and Cover Letter are required for consideration. Two letters of recommendation are required for students that want to fill intern "college internship" credit. This is a position where you would agree to tasks arranged by your instructor and your manager in exchange for college credit provided your instruction agrees with the terms in advanced. Students are responsible for all paperwork, attendance, job performance, and correctly citing sources on all works attempted. Failure to cite sources may even result in your suspension from your college institution as well as termination from our staff.

Subject matter experts are expected to have completed a relative college education, hold current professional licenses, and or certifications in their respective fields with skills we that are verifiable.
